Storage Unit Cleanouts in Tucker

Storage rent comes due every month, whether you open the door or not. We empty the unit for you, put aside what you want to keep, haul away the rest and sweep the floor. One person answers your questions and keeps the schedule from first call to final walk-through.

What a storage unit cleanout covers

A storage unit cleanout means we empty the unit, load everything onto our truck and take it to the right place: donation, recycling or disposal. You can be there to point out what stays, or tell us ahead of time and we work from your list.

Units fill up in layers. The front holds what went in last, while the back often hides boxes softened by humidity, mattresses that have picked up a musty smell and furniture pressed against the walls for years. We plan for that, carry it out carefully and keep the aisle clear for your neighbors at the facility.

The same person you speak with on the phone coordinates the crew and stays your contact until the unit is empty. If the facility needs the space back by a certain date, we work toward that date with you.

What's included in the work

Sorting with you or for you

We separate keep, donate and discard piles as we go. Anything you mark to keep is set aside and boxed so it is ready to go home with you.

Careful handling of heavy pieces

Dressers, sleeper sofas, safes and old exercise equipment come out on dollies and straps. We use pads where a piece is worth protecting, even when it is headed for donation.

Reuse before the landfill

Furniture and household goods in good shape are dropped at donation centers that will take them. Metal, cardboard and electronics are pulled aside for recycling, so the landfill only receives what cannot be used again.

Swept and ready for move-out

Once the unit is empty, we sweep it out and remove loose debris so it is ready for the facility's move-out check.

Help with the facility

Many facilities have gate hours, loading rules and limits on truck access. We confirm those with you before the day so the crew arrives prepared.

When a storage unit is ready to go

  • The door stays shut for months

If the rent keeps leaving your account while the unit sits untouched, what is inside may now be worth less than what you pay to keep it.

  • Moisture or odor inside

Musty smells, warped boxes or mildew on fabric mean damage is already happening. Clearing it out stops the loss before it reaches what you want to keep.

  • A move-out date is coming

A rent increase, a lease ending or the facility's notice can leave a short window. We help you meet it without spending weekends hauling.

  • An estate or a downsize

Units often hold a parent's furniture or belongings from a previous home. We work patiently through those, and you decide what stays.

  • You can't reach the back

When boxes are stacked to the door, you are storing things you cannot use. A cleanout lets you see what you have and keep only that.

How the cleanout day runs

  1. 1

A call and a free estimate

Tell us the unit size, roughly what is inside and the facility's location. We offer free, no-obligation on-site estimates and give you upfront pricing with no hidden fees.

  2. 2

    Scheduling around the facility

Same-day and next-day service is available. We confirm gate codes, access hours and anything you want kept before the crew heads out.

  3. 3

    Loading and sorting

The crew works from front to back, sorting as we go and checking with you on anything uncertain, like boxed papers or keepsakes.

  4. 4

    Final sweep and walk-through

With the unit empty, we sweep it and walk through it with you, or let you know by phone that it is clear. Donation and recycling drop-offs follow the same day.

What affects the price

Most of the price comes down to the share of our truck your things take up and the labor involved in carrying them out. We give you the figure upfront, with no hidden fees, and the only thing that moves it on the day is adding more items to the load.

Unit size and fullness
A half-full 5x10 unit and a packed 10x30 unit are very different jobs. Volume drives most of the cost.
Heavy or bulky items
Pianos, safes, appliances and solid wood furniture need more hands and more time to move safely.
Items needing special disposal
Mattresses, tires, electronics and old paint cans may carry recycling or disposal fees that we explain up front.
Where the unit sits
A drive-up unit with the truck backed to the door loads quickly. An interior unit on an upper floor, reached by a long hallway and a shared elevator, adds carrying time.
Sorting time
If you want items carefully separated for donation, family or keeping, we build that time into the estimate.

Questions about storage unit cleanouts

Something not covered here? (404) 948-3532

Do I have to meet the crew at the facility?

No, though many people like to. If you would rather stay home, arrange gate access for us and give us a list of what to keep. The person coordinating your job confirms the facility's access rules with you beforehand.

Can you clear my unit on short notice?

Often, yes. Same-day and next-day service is available for units in Tucker and nearby towns such as Stone Mountain and Lilburn. Call with the unit size and your move-out date, and we will tell you the earliest opening we have.

Where do the things I don't keep end up?

Anything still in usable condition, from a solid dresser to a box of kitchenware, goes to a donation center that wants it. Scrap metal, cardboard and old electronics head to recyclers. Whatever is left is taken to a proper disposal facility, and nothing is left behind at the storage site.

What if I find personal papers or keepsakes in the boxes?

We set aside anything that looks personal, such as photos, documents or jewelry, and ask before it goes anywhere. Nothing that looks important is thrown out without your say.

Will you leave the unit ready for move-out?

Yes. We remove everything, sweep the floor and clear loose debris so the unit is ready for the facility's inspection.
